As professional boxer Tyson Fury gets ready to fight Oleksandr Usyk again tonight (December 21) – the second time the heavyweights will go head to head in seven months – fans have been catching up with Tyson’s TV series At Home With The Furys on Netflix.
However, viewers of the show were left utterly stunned after discovering the boxing champ’s real age. At the time of the series’ original air date – back in 2023 – social media was abuzz with reactions as soon as it came out that the world-renowned boxer is just 35.
One fan exclaimed on Twitter: “Tyson Fury is only 35? ! My goodness! I thought he was in his 40’s!” Another was equally baffled, posting: “How’s Tyson fury only 35?!”. A third chimed in with disbelief: “Tyson fury is 35? ? ? ? ? In what world lmao I thought he was 45+ #AtHomeWithTheFurys”.
And another viewer confessed they were having a hard time wrapping their head around the fact, saying: “I’m really struggling with the fact Tyson fury is 35 years old only 3 years older than me but he looks like he could be my dad.”
Some fans even admitted they had pegged the boxing legend for someone “at least in his forties” showing just how much the reveal changed their thoughts.
However, chatting exclusively with OK!, Tyson previously quipped: “I’m one crazy, bald fat man no-one can ever compete with.”
At Home With The Fury offered an intimate peek into the life of Tyson, his wife Paris, aged 35, and their bustling household of then-six children: Venezuela, Prince John James, Prince Tyson Fury II, Valencia Amber, Prince Adonis Amaziah and Athena. Their seventh child, Prince Rico Paris was born in September last year, whom she introduced exclusively to OK!.
Viewers also got a front-row seat to the Gypsy King’s rollercoaster journey, including his supposed hang-up of gloves and dramatic return to the ring.
Speaking with a touch of humour about his bustling household, Tyson laughed: “And then there’s Paris, the six kids, the dogs and my dad, who is TV gold. Number seven is coming in September. It’s a chaotic house, we just close the door and everyone’s screaming and shouting and you really appreciate bedtime!.
Paris, who manages the busy home life in their £1.7 million mansion, also shared with OK!: “Our life is much more different from other people’s and so they’ve always been very interested in what we’re doing.”
She shared her love for a lively home, saying, “I wouldn’t like it quiet, I wouldn’t like the mundane. I always wanted a big family, lots of children and a full house. If it was any different I couldn’t imagine the quiet.”
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns again on December 21 with the Brit attempting to avenge his defeat by the Ukrainian in May. Victory for Fury could also set up a huge domestic showdown with bitter rival Anthony Joshua next year
