Following Christmas Day, many may be ready to sit back and relax in front of the telly after enjoying too much turkey and endless chocolate and quality time with family.
However for some, a sprint into the freezing North Sea might be just the answer to blow away the cobwebs.
Boxing Day dips are a tradition for hundreds willing to brave the North Sea up and down England’s East coast as each year there’s several organised events to choose from. For many families it’s a yearly tradition whilst for others it may be a hangover cure.
Many even choose to dip in fancy dress, raising money for charity. But for whatever reason or cause there’s one thing for certain, the sight of hundreds taking to the sea will never not disappoint.
If you plan on braving a a fun dip, everyone is advised to brush up upon water safety and don’t forget to take along a towel and warm clothing to change into after the chilly swim.
