The artist formerly known as Kanye West has a lot to say about critics of his and Bianca Censori’s nude stunt on the Grammys red carpet.
In a series of all-caps tweets shared on Friday—in which he also declared himself “a Nazi” and called for Diddy’s freedom—Ye responded to critics of the stunt, in which Censori dropped her fur coat to reveal a completely see-through dress. “I have dominion over my wife,” he wrote. “This ain’t no woke as feminist shit she’s with a billionaire why would she listen to any of you dumb ass broke bitches.”
He also wanted to shut down suggestions that he made her do the stunt, rather than it being her decision. “People say the red carpet look was her decision,” he continued. “Yes I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval you stupid ass woke pawns. I have no respect or empathy for any one living ’cause no one living can fuck with me but I do love some people and I give them favor.”
In follow-up tweets, he said that someone who worked for him was “uncomfortable” with the stunt, and he responded by firing them. He also decried anyone calling it a “stunt,” despite how he and Censori left the red carpet immediately after the dramatic nude reveal.
“Anyone who called my wife’s Grammy look a stunt is dumb and laaaame yes youuuu,” he wrote. “She been dressing naked for 2 years now all of a sudden it’s a stunt. Every single bitch on the planet wish they had her bravery body platform and access to money and a husband that supported they personal expression. There are a lot of things that had to converge for this moment to happen.”
In his final tweet on the subject, at least for now, he made the type of wife-guy post that would’ve even made The Big Day-era Chance the Rapper blush.
“Ye who’s your top five baddest bitches of all time,” he wrote. “My wife. My wife. My Wife. My wife. My wife. My wife demoralizes bitches.”
In Ye’s latest flurry of online activity, he’s reiterated his antisemitism and once again aligned himself with a controversial figure. He’s made it clear that he supports Diddy, despite all the allegations of sexual misconduct, and has since dropped a collaboration with the disgraced media mogul’s Sean John clothing brand. He’s also thrown around several slurs in his tweets, including homophobic and abelist language.
